New Anti Virus recommendation?

Hi guys,

I got a bit caught up in all the 'Kaspersky/anti-Russian' hype at the start of the year and followed the heard away from using their AV. Kind of regret it now tbh, in hindsight...

Anyway, I settled on Avast! - which was fine initially, then the Free AV app decided to update me to the Avast One suite and upon checking for something else in Task Manager earlier, I see there are loads of mini processes running, associated with Avast. I think I'm going to bin it off now!

Can I get a free, lite AV recommendation please?

Eset Nod32 is low resource and hardly intrudes on you very often. I've been using it for years with no issues.

Common sense and MS security is all you need. Third party ones such as ESET or Norton often cause issues with other third party software.

Multiple threads will state the same as above. The built in Windows security has been good enough for many.

Stick to Defender and common sense.

Thanks guys! Forgot to say as well, I have 4 years of Malwarebytes Premium, free through my bank. So Defender it is then.
