Do you have any information from Aorus yet about support for Windows 10 in the Aorus X7 Pro?

Microsoft have already advised that the laptop will qualify for the free upgrade, but it would be good to know if we can go ahead as soon as it is launched or whether Aorus intend to check out the compatibility first.

Yes the machine qualifies for FREE upgrade, as you see from the notification.

We will check with HQ to confirm weather we envisage any additional downloads directly from us will be needed, so we will post accordingly.

Hi Chuffbaby,

Yes. It’s okay for X7 Pro to upgrade from WIN 8.1 to WIN 10.
To ensure stability, we suggest following the instruction below:

1. Under Windows 8.1, install all Important Update items
2. Under Windows8.1, install all the drivers and utilities through Driver Update, except Macro Engine
3. Remove Macro Engine
4. Upgrade to WIN 10
5. Remove Intel Bluetooth Driver and Killer Lan Driver(Qualcomm Atheros Killer Manager Suite)
6. Install all drivers and Macro Engine for WIN 10 through Driver Update


That's should give you best result.
