G range looks good a nice compromise between a serious look and RGB bling. Shame they couldn't manage to squeeze the 2060 in at the ~£1700-1750 price point though.

why do they always go OTT with laptop designs... the first 2 look good but the last one looks like something from a sci-fi movie lol

Pretty poor considering you can get the 2060, a 1TB SSD, a 4800HS and the same 16GB RAM and 240hz monitor which is slightly lighter for £1500 from Asus. Aorus Equivilant is £1900!

Hi @Rroff - yes the 15G and 17G are nice addition to the line up, but the price-point does reflect the chassis materials (Full Aluminium) and other key parts being premium..... PLUS another key difference between these units and the vast majority of competitor units in the segment, is that we are using an 8 Core Intel Core i7 (10875H) processor.

All AORUS 15G and 17G also offer you the upgrade path to install additional M.2 SSD in the "spare" bay that's on board, without voiding the 2 year warranty.

We do still squeeze well under your target price with two AORUS models with RTX2060, the AORUS 5 and AORUS 7 @ £1,499 and £1,599 respectively.

Thanks for your feedback and hope the above goes some way to explaining the pricing.

Looks like a nice array of choices

(fyi @Atom80 but the official dark theme for the forum doesn't suit black text on a grey background :p )

@carrot1401 - thanks for that,,,,,, we actually see the forums on blue background, but guess everyone probably sees different depending on settings, and device. We have now edited and switched text to white,,,,, hope that helps, thanks again.

@Tupro - horses for courses,,,,, It has been a while since we have had a really strong GAMER focussed design out there, and a lot of our models in the past have adopted a "wolf in sheeps clothing" design approach, the AORUS 17X is a flagship gaming unit, and doesn't disguise the fact.

Not everyone desires that sort of style, but for many, "loud and proud" ticks the boxes of what they are looking for. In additional all RGB lighting is fully customisable, and can of course be switched off.

Thanks for your feedback,
