New ASUS 4890 TOP!!!!

The HD 4890 reference and EAH4890 TOP both default to a 3D GPU voltage of 1.312V, the PowerColor 4890 PCS that we tested a few days ago runs at 1.5V.

!!!!! Is this true? 1.5 volts? :/ w1zzard knows his stuff for sure but 1.5 seems high. I'm at 1.31V but am now tempted to try more !

sounds like a mixed bag tbh with the overclocking results and the cooler problems.

grab the cheapest reference card is my advice, w/out exotic cooling they're all going to top out at about the same level anyway.

Rivatuner and voltage factory. I refuse to pay extra just for a piece of software, also I'm pretty sure most cards can reach 900/1000 without any change in voltage.

Up to you if you want to spend extra money on a crap aftermarket cooler, voltage software you can get yourself for nothing and a modified bios.

The cooler is similar to the one on my 4870. Only the large fan is temperature controlled, the other is at full chat all the time. I have'nt used my cooler as i stuck it under water straight away but reviews say the cooler is noisy due to the non temp controlled fan.

Think it looks great though I hope that they release a revised one with temp controlled fans. That cooler looks like it it could handle low airflow fine.
