New Asus Rampage V build doesnt let you go into bios

Have error AE on the board.

posts fine, furiously type DEL button but doesn't go into bios

just get Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device over and over again.
 
ok I can get into the bios but the mouse and keyboard aint working.

can get into bios after removing 6tb sata drive cable from the board and leaving just my evo's plugged in
 
are you running the latest bios? think you can update it without any mouse/kb if you flash through usb
 
also another motherboard related question.

I have 2 x gtx 980 and my have them both plugged into the top two pci-e ports. This clever new bios is moaning about it saying one is running at 8x, I assume I need to move that one down a slot to another 16x?

Slot 2 is an 8x slot.

For 2-way SLI you should have the cards in slot 1 (PCIE_X16_1) and slot 4 (PCIE_X16/X8_3), see page 1-19 of the manual.
 
I have had this a couple of times now, the only way to get into the bios was to press the clear cmos button on the back panel :(

I has not done it for for a good couple of weeks now though.
 
still having bios issues, doesn't seem to cold boot too well.

took me like 15 times to get a display today, this is on latest bios too.
 
Sounds to me you have memory issues. These probs you are experiencing are usually mem related. Stuck on BF 99 AE and others.
