New Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Installation

Hi all

just installed a new Athlon X2 in my pc. from a 64 3000+ and it seems to be very very very slow. After the Windows Xp loading screen it stayed black for ages, the mouse pointer was there and i could move it, so i turned it off.

Any idea why its being so slow?

Yeh, quite possibly due to cool 'n' quiet being enabled.

The problem is now fixed, thanks for your input. Would you recommend cool 'n' quiet being turned off anyway?

Definitely. I don't think many people use it.
