New ATI Driver

Does anyone know whether the new ati driver for 9800pros x800's etc works with steam yet as i plan to reinstall my computer and install that so everything is smooth again.

Just want to know before i do it?

7.10 did not work with my mates 9800 Pro. It installed fine, but DirectX failed to initialize so no 3D app would work at all. I believe the drivers have issues with other AGP cards too. I installed 7.6 in the end, works great. I don't know if the 7.11 drivers work or not, but it's probably less hassle just to install 7.6 to start with!
