Hi everyone,

I currently have a onkyo htx-22hdx AVR, obviously this needs replacing if I upgrade to a 4k HDR set such as the aforementioned LG OLED B7.

I have the 5.1 speaker set for the HTX, so I assume I can reuse those speakers.

I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) I need a Dolby Vision compatible set such as the TX-NR474 (from http://www.eu.onkyo.com/en/features/dolby-vision-compatible-138167.html)

In which case, would a TX-NR474 + speakers from the HTX be a good fit?

Edit: Just noticed the 474 doesn't support HLG. With the likelihood of Sky using this, shall I go for a receiver that supports HLG?

Unless you need one right now I would wait to see what happens at CES it’s only 4 weeks away.

The satellite speakers may be transferable depending on the impedance, but the bass speaker of the HTX kit has the receiver electronics built in. There's no subwoofer-in socket that would allow it to be used as a standalone sub with a different AV receiver.

You're about to drop a huge chunk of.cash on an OLED. So, rather than making a rushed decision on the sound system, why not see if you can cope with audio on Optical or Coax as a short term measure until you can afford to change the amp and speakers together. Feed picture to the TV via HDMI and do sound via coax or optical. You won't miss much with Sky as only Sky Q carries Atmos, and then only for the subscription sports channels

Long term you'd be better off selling the HTX kit and buying a proper 5.1 speaker kit to go with a new amp. If budget is tight then look at used speakers.
