New base building survival game?

I’ve been an avid RUST player since it 1st came out on early access, I’m now feeling burnt out on it after some 1500 hours, I’m after a new survival game with base building and PvE and PvP, I have tried Ark but I felt it very grindy and it took a very long time to do anything, I’m a Father of two young kids and don’t have much gaming time anymore i can’t spend hours at my PC at a at time taming a dinosaur, also with RUST I found now I’m older with responsibilities i fall way behind the rest of the server.

Any game ideas?

7 Days to Die or Conan Exiles would be your best bet. There's Empyrion also.

Each vary in theme, but they're all very good survival games.

Fallout 4 has base building and mods to improve this.

Play ARK on a high multiplier server, removes the grind element and lets you focus on fun.

I haven't played it in a while so can't really recommend any sadly but there are hundreds around - just try to get one with a community already established (patreons etc if you can) as it'll be likely to be run better, have non-cheating admins and won't wipe frequently.

Cheers guys, I think I’ll go for The Forest, quick question, how is the VR in The Forest? It not the primary season I’ll buy it, but as it has VR support I’ll like to give it ago

Also is there any PvP servers? I’m a little confused on how the online works

The VR is fantastic, they did a spot on job with the last update. There's still a generic moan about item numbering on the crafting mat, and 3rd persona sequences dropping on rope climbs, but all the major issues on the first release and 2nd update were fixed (if I remember right you refunded the game on release)

Requested a refund, while the immersion is fantastic, the games burry mess, I’ll keep checking on updates and hopefully I’ll re buy in the future

The game itself takes on another level when you drop in a cave in VR, pitch black, scary things.. go well in a HMD

Yeah I bought it the day it got VR support, I didn’t really do much on it, like I said it was to blurry, I have then forgotten all about the VR patch! Base building, COOP, survival and VR, hopefully it’s as good as it sounds
