Indoor action to see this time. In the Titan you have to go and blow through a series of areas to bring it down. It a 32 player mode so far. The customisation is superb and is explained throughout the internet.

Key Features

Titan Mode: Wage epic-scale war to defeat your opponent's Titan, a massive flying warship, controlled by the team's commander. Players must destroy the Titan's shields, board the craft, fight to it's reactor core and detonate it from the inside – all while defending their own Titan.

64-Players Online*: Experience all-out war with Battlefield's legendary multiplayer for up to 64 players.

Real-Time Persistence: To the victor goes the spoils! Equipment, medals and other rewards are awarded in-game and in real time. Choose an unlock and have access to it immediately next time you spawn. The game features five times more unlocks than Battlefield 2.

Customizable Abilities: Gamers can expand their abilities and blend multiple player classes to match their play-style.

Lethal Vehicles: Gamers control menacing Battle Walkers that stalk the land and futuristic gunships that patrol the skies. APC's and high-speed recon vehicles keep the action fast, furious and unpredictable.

High-Tech Weaponry: EMP grenades, sentry guns, smart mines, cloaking devices, and more change the rules of the Battlefield forever.

The world has changed: Fight for survival on the Battlefield of the 22nd century in brand new locations from Minsk to North Africa as the ice presses down from the North.

The game does look good but after the trouble ive had with BF2 i am finding it hard to care about this game :(

Unlocks ideas sound swish, being able to customise yourself more ingame will hopefully make it a bit more fresh, hope its not just all BF2's weapons but "futuristic" versions though. Also a bit dissapointed in only 64players still...you'd think with todays connections they could do 150 like joint ops used to?

This game looks great, it'll be a little change from BF2, but not a replacement hopefully!

do not bank on it, BF2 will more than likely be dropped for support once this hashed POS comes out.
ive seen some footage from enemy territory:quake wars today from E3 and tbh this game can go and sing in the rain for me, once BF2 doesnt have any more servers running i wont be going with a batlefield game again until its gone back to its true form. futuristic crap isnt it imo

ETQW is just another clone however BF2 will still be getting support. :D

How the hell can you say that ET:QW is a clone? and trust me BF2 support will be dropped like a stone that someone has just vomited over about 2 months after BF2142 is released, its just the way EA is.

Ive never been one for futuristic settings in games, but after seeing that video I think this looks quite interesting. I was dissapointed about the next BF being futuristic, but at least that means BF3 (new engine hopefuly) will hopefully not be a futuristic thing. I would like another modern day one but with next gen graphics, physics etc and some new game modes

have you actually seen any of ETQW? if you had you wouldnt be making comments like its a clone! its got a lot of fresh ideas in it and it is looking to be the next online FPS, it even looks to be able to take BF2's top spot.
ive said this before on here, i think its far too early to replace BF2 with this 2142, if anything is close to a clone its this game, they might aswell have just called it BF2:2007, same gfx engine, just new guns that are based on BF2 vesions anyway and a new game mode
i think ill stick to bf2 then jump to quake wars when that comes out as EA will almost deffinately drop BF2 once this is released, just look at what happened with BF:vietnam when BF2 was released

Well the impressions of QW from e3 are its not different enough. The game is only made for 24 players. Map sizes are smaller than BF2 and it plays quite linear compared to BF. I think some may prefer it that way the majority will stick to BF gameplay.

BF2142's trump card is the Titan mode and new customisation. First time they put in a new game mode. Gameplay wise its possibly the most advanced sequel in the BF series. The customisation features are hot and open up the gameplay even further. Despite it having a futuristic look its more of close future with realistic guns and bullets etc. Think Starship troopers without the Aliens and lasers :)

Why the future combat? Everyone knows the best epoch to base a war game on are, in ascending order:

World War 2
The Cold War
Today, or the very near future.

Anything not featured here is not worth playing.

Does look very polished mod still ;)

Still gonna be a cracker and plenty of fun but again dunno if it can hold against ET:Quake Wars.....

both look similar and due similar times !

ok, ill take that point on board about the size of maps and players on each server, BF will more than likely win on those counts. but its not all about those 2 at all. ive had some cracking games with BF2 on 16 player servers/maps.
linear? it cant be that linear with team objectives and personal missions to do whilst playing. linear is going to be attacking a spaceship ( ) each round instead of actual objectives to complete in order to gain the advantage on and finish the mission (ala enemy territory style gameply, which rocked big time)
what are the customisations stuff youre on about though? not heard of those yet, maybe that would make it sound better to me :D
