Been using an el cheapo gas BBQ for the last few years, but it's rusted away so now in the market for a new one.

I also already have a charcoal one... but its loads of hassel although it does taste better than my cheapo gas BBQ.

So far for my new one im looking at the

Broil king signet 320

Weber genesis 2 e-310

Unless you guys can point me in the direction of something better.. budget about £700ish

Cheers

My vote would be the Weber. If looked after will last forever, I currently have one that's 13 years old. Only ever replaced grates, burners and gas pipe costing around £160.

The 410 is great if you can stretch. The removable circle grate is good with all the gadgets you can buy. The igrill 3 is superb as well. Dad recently treated himself to one.

Another vote for the Weber. My Genesis that I picked up a couple of years ago gets loads of use. I haven't however cooked on a broil king just looked at them in the show room so can't really compare though.

My only comment would be having looked closely at the Genesis II, Weber appear to have significantly reduced the build quality in order to reduce the price from £1100 to £700 and add in the Igrill. If it's even possible I'd be trying to hunt out a discontinued old style Genesis.

Got a Genesis as well.

What you may find with the Genesis (and Weber gas BBQs in general I believe) is that it's a very different type of cooking to a cheap gas one. It's a lot less direct sear/charcoal and a lot more indirect oven style cooking.

The broil king may be more like the gas BBQ style cooking you may be used to.
