Hello

I'm not really interested in my macbook pro 13" anymore so i will be selling it and building a gaming pc. (Brought a prebuilt ultima viper last year)

What do you think of this spec.

Any changes i should make? I still need a monitor.

Is this everything i need to build my pc and start gaming on it? :D

Budget £1304

I will be using the OC button on the Motherboard for the i5.

Thanks :)

personally:

1) i wouldnt go with the 560 ti, you couldalmost get two 6850's and crossfire them for that money

2) great case

3) great cpu

4) there is a software and hard drive bundle that might save you a few quid, have a look forther down the list on the site

5) overpowered and overpriced psu - but good if your going with the CF suggestion above

6) i;d go with a better cooler but it depends on how far you want to push your cpu

7) good mobo

8) good ram

:)

Overpriced KB? With that kind of budget you should get a mechanical one. The new Corsair 500R has better fans than the 600T (the 200mm fan is appalling if you want to shift air) and is cheaper.

unless you will make use of the macro keys and the screen on the keyboard i would get a different one, i have the g15 kb and the only thing i use the screen for is the time and i dont use the macro keys

I would drop that case down a bit under £100 and spend the extra on something like a GTX 560TI 2GB/GTX 570 or even a GTX 580. The Corsair Carbide 500R already suggested is a good case.

You can also get this PSU for a couple £ more and is much better,

No need for 1866MHz RAM plus I'm not sure it's compatible with the cooler because of the fin height? Look at this low profile RAM instead,

That mouse can be had with a free Boogie Bug AimB XL gaming pad which is very nice for the same price,

I agree, a couple things though. That mouse is out of stock and is the same price as the presumably better G400? (bigger number :D),

And once again I'd take this PSU,

Logitech comparison between the two mice.

I would swap the PSU as per the link above based purely on the unit (it's a Seasonic design if I'm right), but I've heard some pretty bad things from XFX support in Europe so I would not recommend it (on the other hand, Corsair support is very good).

Thanks everyone for the advise will defiantly going for different case//psu/monitor/ram now :)
