So NO idea what the hell i'm doing when it comes to this, i'm the kind of person who will research it to death before i even spend a penny so any and all input is really helpful!

SO!

the case, Phanteks Evolve mid tower,
the parts, cpu is a 6700k and the gpu is a 980 gtx (this isnt staying) will be a 1080 in the next few month so putting it into the loop is at the moment out

The idea!

2 280m rads front and top with 4 silent wings 3 high speeds with Ek water 170 Revo D5 PWM one of these some tubing and undyed coolant of some sort and no idea what water block and the likes as i'm not that far into research just yet, i read somewhere the set up should be, rad1,cpu,res, rad2, gpu and back to 1

excuse the mess this is layed out xD

Well good luck picking the tube etc, best bet is to post the basket here which is a feature of the site.

Loop order doesn't matter as everything in the system reaches and equilibrium (the fluid temp) regardless. All that matters is that the res is feeding the pump either directly or indirectly and the pump does not pump out in to the res. The rest is just down to the cleanest route.

Don't forget to add a drain port or you'll have a bit of fun adding in your 1080 ;)

As stated above the minimal benefit of the loop order you mentioned are outweighed by using a shorter/cleaner route.

As for tubing/fittings it's usually best to stick to one brand for both or at least combinations that are known not to give issues as tubing can differ slightly from the stated dimensions due to manufacturing tolerances. Personally I use 16/10 EK fittings and either Primochill or Mayhems flexible tubing.

Just a passing comment. I have found the D5 a bit noisy in my Phantek Evolve. I think it's because of the steel construction. Lot's of vibrations etc.. Try not mount the pump directly to the chassis and add with plenty of cushioning..

I was going to put some kind of drain coming off the out line of the pump from what iv been reading

Thanks for the tips, i was thinking along the lines of some rubber mounts for the pump res, further to research i'm look at a 360mm and a 240mm now instead of the 2 280s more surface space, and looking at hardline tubing,

When it comes down to buying ill put the basket in here, and might phone the guys at overlcokers if i can come use a desk up there to build in case i need extra parts, or find a member who lines like round the corner xD
