Hi there im a tall 6.3 rider looking to get a new bike.
i have had a yamaha r6 gsx600r k7 and a kawazaki z1000.
im looking to get a 2006 + bike but not sure what would be best to go for.
im currently looking @ the cbr1000rr , yamaha r1 , gsxr1000. with being tall dont want a bike thats going to put pressure on my wrists. could any1 shed any light on what would be best. thx in response.

go to a dealer and sit on them.

I'd look at the less track focussed bikes tbh, and that era was the very best era for the GSXR1000s, they've gone downhill since, so grab one of them! My brothers is comfy and i'm 6.1.

Im 6'2" and sat on a mates 10 Plate CBR1000RR and was immediately laughed at and told to get off as I looked stupid. it looked Tiny on me. as for comfort though I couldn't comment.

I would test ride them to be honest

Try a KTM RC8 .... some big blokes looking comfy on them on a few track days!

im 6.3 and i had a K7 600 which i found fine it was more my arse that was aching after a long days riding :)

after sitting on a few i found the ZX-6Rs to be a little bigger but i think the new ones have lost a bit of weight so im not sure, sorry

the majority of my rides where just short stints so i wasn't too fussed about comfort i bought purely because of looks and god was she sexy

free pic... :D

with that in mind avoid track focused bikes like CBR600RRs and CBR1000RRs etc.

comfort is a personal thing but in all honesty they're designed to put your weight forward onto your wrists to centralize it. so therefore someone who has wrist issues and says theyre ok doesnt have wrist issues lol

look at bikes with flatter bars and a more relaxed riding position like a Triumph speed triple, or a bandit etc.
