So I currently have a 2010 Street Triple R.
I will be trading in for a new bike in a couple of months.

My current list of test rides is:
New 2013 Street Triple R
Speed Triple (Maybe the R)
Yamaha MT-09
Kawasaki Z800
Suzuki GSR750

As you can see, all naked bikes, all less than £10k (just about)
I will be using it mostly for my 12-15mile commute through Bristol.

So my question, are there any other bikes that people recommend that I test ride before making my decision?

(I totally love my current bike, so I am already leaning toward the 2013 Street)

Personally I'd keep the 2010 STR. Out of all the other bikes only the 2013 Street Triple would be an upgrade and it's only a tiny upgrade really, probably not enough to warrant the cost of upgrading.

The Z800 is getting good reviews but they're still not as good as the new Street Triple.

Ahh, fair enough. In that case then it's another Street Triple (or get a loan to pay off the remainder)

I can see you ending up back with the ST also, I think you will be underwhelmed by the others, well maybe not the Speed Triple :p

That's the problem when you've already got the best bike :) You can always trade it, pay some more money and get something less capable if you want though ;)

I was thinking that I should at least make some pretense of looking for a different bike!
For the Mrs sake at least, "I know it is the same bike honey, but I did try out all of these other ones as well!" :p

Plus test riding is fun.

Definitely test ride them all so that you can reassure yourself that you're making the right decision.

Between Fowlers and Bristol Kawasaki you should be able to test ride them all.

Keeping isn't an option right now.
The joys of going PCP finance and not saving enough the pay off the final payment!

Can't you just finance the balance? I don't think I'd upgrade from the 2919 to 2013 of the same bike unless it had a massive mileage

they have always been for tall people..im 6ft and have to use tip toes ... a friend who 5'5 really struggles .. go try one and see top bike

Decided to keep the Street Triple R.
Finance company gave me a good'ish rate (7.9% APR) on refinancing the remaining balance.

Wasn't worth "upgrading" the bike, especially when I have the arrow cans, heated grips, gel seat and quick shifter on it.
