Well I found a Dual purpose bike & had a deal with the Dude, Older than mine & more miles but exactly what I wanted & it's got more miles left in it than I have if you believe all the reviews.
BMW F650 96 with 25k up it. New tyres on it, Handy back box & it was **** easy getting up my jitty & turning it round in my yard. :p

Ultra comfortable, supreme reliability & usable in all weathers.

Yep chopped the 7R in & had a deal. He brought it to my door as well. I'm happy that I have a bike I can use all the time no matter what, The 7R was well beyond me & not right for what I want to get up to & at least I actually fit this bike. :p

Just got back in from my first run out & I know I've done the right thing. Phew :p
Riding it is a breeze it just wafts about with loads of torque when you need it, The front Brembos are Superb which instantly gave me confidence & it tracks really well without being effected by any bumps/dips/manhole covers etc Like I said earlier you just waft about blapping the throttle using the torque. Riding position for me is superb & my arms sit just right with no pressure on the bars at all, I could ride this bike all day every day for a week no prob.
My insurance was 60 quid a year cheaper & it does 60+ to the gallon so all in all I'm happy with my choice.

Nice bike and good on you for realising your mistake and rectifying it.
Yer I'm happy now & have got a bike that suits me, Slow & comfortable, Death or a Ban awaited me on the Ninja. :p

have got a r1150gs as my workhouse bike and is currently knocking on the door of 40k and starts first times and is in mint condition. keep it serviced and it will last for ever.

It started this morning as soon as I looked at the starter button, Literally fired up instantly.
I'm only in for a cup of T & a chain lube sesh then I'm gone again. Fiddle, Tweak, Polish & ride. :D

150 odd miles today & not a single ache anywhere, I even stopped & picked up a curry on the way home, Top box is well handy even if it does make me look a *****. :D

I found my ZX7R very uncomfortable, I bought an Aprilia Tuono to replace it then sold the Ninja.

Best thing I ever did!

It was definitely a good move on my part (finally :o), I'm well happy.

Looking very nice. Bet you'll rack up the miles on that in no time compared to your ZX7R!
It's definitely a mile muncher, Yesterdays 150 miles didn't give me one single ache anywhere.

I'm surprised it has a Brembo front caliper!!
They are great as well only needing slight pressure from just 2 fingers, You can even stop with 1 finger if you want.

Went out this morning cut my grass then got the Back to Black out.

Well worth the hour it took to do.

Nice to hear Rilot & pretty much what everybody else says about the bike. After my mates took the **** they wanted to know how come I'd got all sensible all of a sudden as I never have before. :o + :p
Loving the bike though, Getting it up my jitty into my back garden & turning it around is **** easy compared to the Ninja, When riding it I feel really safe & within my own capabilities & I'm not scared of getting caught out in the rain or of moving about at low speed.
I'm confident I made the right decision. :)
