I don't post much on here, but thought I would share a pic of my new bike.. I pick it up on Saturday.

I'm coming from a k7 GSX-R 600 and 2010 Street Triple... my god it's fast! :D

2008 ZX-10R. (the monster decals will be coming off!)

Looking awesome m8. If I could be tempted away from Italian superbikes to a Jap, the big Kwak would be on my list.

Can't see the picture at work but I know it looks badass

My first bike is my current 05 ZX6R. The 10R is the next logical step once, if I ever, get bored of the 6 ;)

Very nice - I almost bought one when I bought the GSXR1000. Love kwaks but went for the slightly better comfort in the end. The one I was looking at was a brand new pre registered 2009 for £7995. Hell of a bargain.

That looks fantastic, I'm very tempted to test ride the new 6r as I've heard some really good things about it.

I think the 10r would most likely kill me!

Thanks guys.

Regarding the comparison between the Street Triple R & the ZX10r... I have only ridden the bike for 1 hour on the test ride and I will put a more detailed review up once I collect it and have done decent mileage.

However, in the mean time...

The first thing I noticed on the test ride was the extreme riding position when compared to the 'bolt up right seating position on the Triumph. I soon got used to it again though, and once I had done a few miles it was obvious this is a completely different beast (obviously). Everything is so, so easy on the bike.. if you're not careful you are breaking the law in seconds. The power is like nothing I have haven ridden before... it's just relentless throughout the rev range. Unsurprisingly the torque is great compared to my old Gixer 600, no more changing down gears in the hunt for more power on overtakes.

The other thing that hit me is just how nimble it is. It only takes a very small amount input to turn in and the feel is great. I will no where near be able to explore the potential of this bike on the road, therefore I'm going to book a few track days in the near future.

Can't wait till tomorrow morning... shame the weather is going to be crap :(

How did you find the positioning of the bars? On my 636 they are quite low down and after 20/30 minutes of solid riding I can start to get a numb right hand/pins and needles, it's quite common apparantly as the wrists are slightly bent back. Was wondering how they've placed the bars on the newer model.

I sat on an 09 but hadn't ridden a bike before so had no idea what I was looking for as I was in awe.

i'm 6ft 1" and to be honest I did find the bars quite low. However, saying that, I felt no dis-comfort in the wrists after an hour of riding. :)

Looks nice, was planning on going to test ride a 6R at the Kawasaki on the road thing at the end of the month, but I'm having to go away on business so can't. I can't even get an insurance quote on a ZX-10, lol. Nice bike.

Love it, personally i think it looks good with the "M" logo, not the "Monster Enegy" though.
Threads like this make me wish i'd gone for my first bike instead of another car, hopefully can save enough for test, leathers, bike ect. for begining of next year.
