Doesn't grab me as much as Crysis does, looks very Timesplittery :p Really was surprised to read that this isn't a Free Radical game

Question is should I get this do I get it on the PC, 360 or PS3?

Bioshock is the one i'm waiting for. You can have your Crysis (videos of which make it look just like any other FPS out there..with added blur effects and some nice schrubbery!). ;)

This is what i've been thinking for a long time now. Farcry had very little substance, it was slightly above average for a FPS but it was rather uninventive and very repetetive but the graphics were mind blowing. The videos of crysis look like its walking down the same path, all running and gunning with very little thought put into it (though the suit could have a bit of potential if done right).

Bioshock looks as though they've really put a lot of thought into the style of the game and the general feel, the graphics are still excellent but most importantly it looks like you need to think in order to succeed. There is also the factor that you can play the game how you like, good or evil, both will lead to the end.

Im sure a mod will be out in no time...

actually come to think of it sometimes a crosshair can ruin the feel of the game, especially in a game where theres dead little girls with needles chasing u....

I was thinking the same tbh, that's the vid i was trying to find when someone launched off about the water effects been ****.

Looks amazing.
There are too many good games coming out this year between June-December. I am kinda hoping some will be delayed so i have time to play through them all.

Seconded, always the way though aint it either there's never anything out or there's too much

well i think we will need a new round of GFX cards to play these new games, I think i will upgrade for this game it looks uber! this and Haze. Crysis looks nice but i think just like farcry it will lack substance

XD-3

Got it on pre-order, but really doesnt look all that great.
So over the whole "scary FPS" thing.

Doom 3 ruined that whole experience, and was perputuated by games like FEAR etc. Hope this does something different

In a few years time, we'll look back on it and sigh at the bad graphics...

LOL very true, call me pedantic but I even when I fired up HL2 the other week it looked outdated

It'll be a VERY VERY different experience. Try out System Shock 2 sometime....It puts FEAR and Doom 3 to shame without even trying :)

In /re to the crosshair - in the videos they have most aspects of the hud disabled. I'm fairly sure you'll get a crosshair in the full game. I think.

I wouldnt call System shock 2 a "scary FPS", yes it is scary, there's no doubt about that, but its not due to the "zomg jumpz0r out of my skinz0r" that doom3 and fear had. Its due to the sheer amount of effort put into the atmosphere that makes it utterly terrifying and ultimately well worth playing.

I imagine bioshock will follow the same trend (due to obvious reasons), from the videos i've seen it looks utterly disturbing, not scary in the traditional sense. Also there is the fact that all the previews i have read it indicates you can be the terrifying presence that all of the enemy fear depending on how you play. I'm very excited about it at the end of the day.
