Managed to go from 235x11 (2585) in my asrock dual at 1.4V
to 250x11 (2750) in my new Asus A8N Sli Delux at 1.45V
Oh, i added a Scythe Ninja too :)
I'm dual priming as we speak, and temps never seem to go above 54C
I'm happy with this new faster speed, tried 255x11 (2.8) but it crashes randomly and fails prime.
knocked nearly 3 seconds of my 1MB super PI! still mega slow compared with conroes i know!
Right, now that it's seeming to be stabe, time to install all the other programs!

On a quick note, there is something I need help with. 2 problems seem to have arisen. I have done a fresh install of windows btw.

1. No sound!!
Installed all the drivers off the Asus CD, the little asus program that detects your speakers says it found them and they are in the right port.. still no music. Was working with other board. Tried 2chnl 4chnl 6chnl, swapping the audio plug in all the different holes, still nothing.. weird... Gonna have to get a pair of headphones or something to see if its the speakers or what.

2. Doesn't like booting of HDD unless a bootable cd is in????
Yeah this is a weird one. I have 3 hdd's installed.. 2 sata both identical drives, but not in raid. and 1 pata. Windows is installed on SATA1. When i chose that as the first boot up device and disable CDROM as a boot device, it says it cannot find bootable media or something. The boot order in bios is SATA1 SATA2 IDE1 CDROM. Thing is.. when i put in the XP cd, and it comes up saying "press any key to boot from cd" and you don't push anything, it boots up fine... but... when you take the XP CD out, it just says no bootable media?!

I'm stuck on that one!
any help would be appreciated.

no sound is a common problem, my friend has this board too and hasnt been able to get sound working at all, cant even install a pci sound card as it restarts his system as soon as it trys to install drivers (tried 3 diff sound cards and numerous driver versions, in different pci slots), we think this may be due to the beta bios thats been flashed so tryin to re-flash to the latest offical release to see if it helps any of the problems

theres a handful of people who have got it working by updating the bios but only a select few, others have managed to get an audigy card to work in it, and the rest are a bit stuck :(

Motherboard reports that it is version 1060 bios same as the one on asus web site.. which is bloody slow by the way!! only getting 6.5k/sec from it!
Gonna try downloading the latest audio drivers see if that helps.
Still baffled by my bootup problem though!

I seem to recall having a similar problem last year that I could only load Windows from the HD with the XP disc in the drive. I think I solved it by installing Windows without the IDE drive plugged in and only plugged it in once installation was complete.

Well i fixed my sound problem. Put in an Audigy card and it's working fine. Did a reinstall with the IDE disconnected, and that also worked. Now if I could just figure out why the computer randomly pauses when running at 2.7ghz i'm running stock just now to see if it does it.
