Hi my dad needs new brake pads all round for his 911 (996 carrera 2 cab 3.6) He was quoted by a specialist £65 a pair, I guess that means per corner. This price was for "midrange Brembos", now my dad would not mind paying a little more for better quality, now a few questions,

a) Is this a good price?
b) Are there any better options for pads?
c) Where do I look for these for prices?

Cheers OCUK. :D

I would expect that price for Brembo to be a front or rear set, ie. enough to do both front wheels or rears.

Pagid RS14 or SBS Pro Track are performance pads if he really wants something special.

65 sounds very cheap, considering I paid 130 for the brembo pads on my Golf which I would imagine are smaller and lower spec'd than those on the porka.

Don't think you can buy pads per side, never ever change just one side.

If thats for brembos i will be very very supprised far too cheap.

Yeah me to but maybe the guy was for whatever reason quoting the price per corner?

65 for a set (i.e two calipers) is fine, I just bought mintex 1144's and my 6pots use the same pads as the XJ220 and the cerbera so dont automatically assume because its porsche its expensive (although most of the time you would be right :p)
