Does this mean that I will have no broadband until the end of March?

They told me the line was stopped and not disconnected so should be running between 2 and 4 days. I will be so mad if this is not the case. :(

I work in the industry, and whilst engineer lead-times are at a severe delay at present, this is definitely over the odds. If you've a stopped line, this should be able to be restarted as you mentioned and DSL should be applied in a max of 10 working days. I'd call your provider and get this checked out.

Apparently the line was disconnected between me placing the order and them placing the order. Yeah right like I am going to believe that.

The engineer isn't coming until March.

BT, bunch of jokers.

Happens more often than you might think.

Gah I'v just come across the same thing with Sky broadband, can't get out to install until March! I remember having virgin media set-up and running within 4days!

I suppose it depends on your location.

I terminated our line in our old house on the 18th January, and had an engineer at the new address to connect it back on the 20th.

City center Sheffield, so hardly in the sticks. You think they would have enough engineers for a large area.
