Hello. I'm looking for a new service provider which will not block my P2P. I download legal files from work but this is blocked with Talk Talk. Would it be a good idea moving to 02 Broadband or Sky?

Thanks for any help.

What is your monthly usage roughly?

If you download < 30GB a month then IDNet, Zen or NewNet are worth considering. Any more than that then Entanet could be an option but they are having some problems right now and making some changes to their packages shortly.

Do you have any LLU services on your exchange?
Check what services you can get here;

I'm not an expert on the subject...

But I would have thought this wouldn't be a problem if all the files ARE legal. The only thing you need to be aware of is the 'fair usage' policies they offer, how much would you be intending to d/l or u/l every month?

Well I'd like a telephone package aswell.

So it would be approx £32 with sky and approximately £25 if I got BT telephone with O2 broadband. Second option is looking the best, it is cheaper and faster speeds, and no limits. Does anyone have any other ideas.

thanks for help.

Here are my current stats. My internet seems fast enough to me, but I just cannot download anything.

Connection Speed - d/l 3851 kbps - u/l 474 kbps
Line Attenuation - d/l 47.0 db - u/l 27.7 db
Noise Margin - d/l 16.1 db - u/l 16.6 db

I'm guessing these are okay?

If that's the o2 Access product then I wouldn't recommend it. I am on o2 access right now and during peak times I have seen speeds go below 1MB. I also often see pings hit 130ms.
I requested my MAC and I am now leaving. o2/be LLU should be decent if you can get it, just avoid Access.
