Hi all,

Is it possible to build a low/mid range gaming PC for £500 (including gpu/not including monitor, keyboard, mouse,OS, etc).

Would appreciate it if somebody could help me spec a decent comp.

Thanks in advance.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £536.18 (includes shipping: £12.30)

Slightly over at £536 but does come with 3 free games and that's with shipping. Also maybe you don't require a case or the storage 1tb HDD?

Anyway I think you'd be fairly impressed at the performance. Looking at 1080p will all the detail settings cranked up with it. The platform will support the newer Ryzen cpus for a few generations so upgradability is there for future.

sorry to hijack the thread but I have a quick question.

One of my mates needs 3 office PC's, if I swapped the GPU for something a lot less (there wont be any gaming) then this should be enough to run windows and office apps for a good few years wont it?

Should be about £375 a box. just want them to be snappy in windows, someone is trying to charge him an absolute fortune to kit him out so im trying to help him out a bit.

Thanks in advance

Yeah you could. Taking the gpu out and swapping the cpu for a 2200G would be a good option as has igpu. Then you could swap the psu also for a 350w.

I did build him one not so long ago with a 1600 in it and one of these

or something similar.

would the 2200g or even a 2400g be adequate for this type of work then. The on board graphics does make it a little easier I suppose

Thanks for the response
