Hello all, first time on here and looking for some advice. I'm looking to upgrade my current PC, which runs Windows XP, 2gb ram, G-Force 7600GT graphics card and various other bits and bobs.

I don't have a huge budget, maybe around £450. I've looked on the OC site and can only see the Titan Nero and Titan Krypt for this price.

Any advice on these PC's, they do have good reviews. I'm not into building PC's but would I get more 'bang for my buck' buying the components separately?

I could in theory get a friend to build it, but looking for minimum hassle and low cost.

Thanks

Building yourself is pretty straight forward it's all plug and play really, but good to have a friend there who can help you. £450-500 is a sound budget. You want to build your own i reckon. You gave the budget but still couple other details you need to mention. i.e. What are you using the computer primarily for, gaming? Also if gaming what monitor do you have at the moment?

Answer them and i'm sure someone will whip a sweet little spec for you :)

I currently have an ACER X233H monitor.

The main use of this PC would be gaming, likely the new Star Wars MMO from Bioware but would also like to be able to play any game, like Battlefield 3 even if it isn't on highest/max settings.

I know probably a lot to ask for given my budget :)

Your monitor's native resolution is 1920x1080, which means that ideally you want a 6850 or GTX 460 1GB- mufcmark's build looks ideal.

If you need to save money, swap the 6850 for a 5770, but you will get a drop in graphics performance.

It looks like I won't be able to get my bud to build a PC for me:(

If I had to go for a pre-made rig, would the Krypt with a GTS 460 added be decent spec for this years games? I realise I'd have to up my budget probably by £200 odds.

I take it for a budget of £650 I'd get a much superior build if building it?

Cheers

nah mate build yourself its like lego everyone will say thisand yes a 460 or a 6850 is ideal

but for 650 you could get build a pretty sick rig if u want dont be afraid
