Hey peeps!
new to this forum but been reading it for quite some time now.
this is a new setup ive been looking at setting up since i sold my last one to fund oz, but im not sure if it will be good enough. basically i love CoD4 and similar games. whatcha think?

(p.s. there will be a dvd rewriter in there too. ;) )
 
nice one ive updated it to include the new mobo, so will that psu be fine for running that setup? and nowt will bottleneck it will it?
 
The PSU is ample. You can have either hard drive, if you want the extra 140GB then go for that.

Will run most modern games at decent framerates. But if anything out of that lot needs upgrading it's the mouse. Spend an extra tenner or so and get a Razer Salmosa or Logitech MX518, you'll notice the difference especially in gaming.
 
I'd go for the better mouse too if it's mainly a gaming rig.

Good choice with the 19" monitor - a 22+ would probably have been pushing the 4850.

I'd stick with the hard drive you have now in a 2:3 partition for OS and data: if you find you're using above 280gb-ish on data, you can just get another drive, but you're not likely to hit 500GB on an average gaming-oriented machine.
