I am planning on upgrading one of the family PCs. My original plan was to keep the case it is currently in - an old own brand MESH metal case that weighs a ton. However after looking inside the thing it is almost certainly going to be easier to just buy a new builder-friendly case. I am not familiar with what is best at the low end currently, so any advice is greatly appreciated!
The aim is for it to be fairly snappy but it is not a gaming machine. Its main use will be basic internet browsing / emails / MS office etc. I'd like to keep the budget right down & keep it quiet if possible.
I will require:
O/S: This will end up either win7/win8 64bit
SSD for O/S (already have 2x HDD with enough storage space)
Motherboard
CPU
CPU cooler (stock is fine if sufficient)
GPU
RAM
Case + fans & fan filters you think are appropriate
PSU (modular preferred but not totally required)
Blu-Ray drive
Lots of spare USB slots
Wifi would be nice but isn't required
+ Anything else you think I have forgotten or would want.
Thanks in advance!
