Hey guys,

I am looking for an advice assembling new budget PC for 13 years old girl. Mostly for web, movies and games like roblox and maybe something little bit more demanding in the future.

Budget = about 300-400

So far I found these:

Graphic card: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-40s-as.html

SSD: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/wd-b...-solid-state-drive-wds250g2b0c-hd-56j-wd.html

RAM: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cors...annel-kit-black-cmk8gx4m2a2666-my-440-cs.html

CPU: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/inte...ocket-lga1151-processor-retail-cp-66k-in.html

CPU is not a must, I can still use my spare intel i5 cpu. Have no clue which one is that, but it worked fine before I changed my setup. Its couple of years old.

Motherboard: Need tips over there

For now its like 375 without motherboard. I saw already built recommended desktops on the website, but not sure about them.

Thanks in advance for anything

What can you reuse? Case? SSD or HDD? What CPU do you have on hand? Do you have a PSU and if so what is it?

I'd scrap the parts you're looking at, half of it's old tech and there's newer/faster stuff available for the same money. The SSD is too small, going for an NvME on that budget isn't a great idea unless you've additional storage you can add.

For sure i5, have to check it tomorrow. I think i5 8500U or something like that.

I can reuse case and cpu. Case is quite big for air circulation which is good. Maybe graphic card as well. This is geforce gtx950 as far as i know. These parts are old. I cant use motherboard, its faulty. And psu because its old and not too good.
HDD useless, thats why i want to change it to ssd.

I will check and clean GPU, cpu and case. Change thermal paste and should be fine, So we can start from there

If GPU get faulty in couple of months, i can always buy one later

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £333.92 (includes shipping: £0.00)

You've enough left over for a motherboard, but we'll need to know what CPU you have before we can suggest one.

I will check all and update thread tomorrow for sure. Basket looks good, but I think this is more than enough for 13 years old little girl :D she only needs about 240gb ssd, average gpu and in general a desktop that not use too much energy

Ok guys, thanks for replies and see you after update :)

The 1650S is faster at the same price point as the 1050ti you listed while using similar amounts of power.

The RAM is slightly more expensive for double the capacity at a much faster speed.

The SSD is the same price and double the capacity, you'll see no difference in performance between the NvME you listed and the SATA drive I listed, but she most definitely will run into capacity problems with the NvME if she installs more than a couple of games.

Ok, so...

Cpu is i5 4570 3,2 ghz
Gpu: asus geforce gtx 760 gddr5 3gbs 192bit <-- I would try this one, extra saving as well. Its in good condition.

We also need case, that one is not good and CPU cooler for new motherboard. :)

Also have RAM memory 1x 8gb from Kingston HyperX Red. Not sure how many Mhz it has, probably 2000 or something. Cant check it. We can use it and find same one.

All these components came from my old workstation, never used for gaming.

With my CPU and graphic card, I will be more than happy to use basket above to fill missing components + motherboard. If not, I can eventually get GPU as well. With mice, keyboard and monitor I will be fine.

Motherboard I think you going to have to look at the used market.

Case is limited to 155mm cpu cooler height how much do you want to spending a cpu cooler ?

About 30 I think, last time saw decent ones in that price range. I have spare stock cooler sitting there, but its from ryzen 5 CPU

This is what I got so far. Decided to keep my i5 4570 and geforce gtx 760. GPU will change later on.
Can you guys tell me, everything there will work fine?

Moththerboard doesn't support your 4570

That's a last gen chip with 6 cores and 6 threads, you want the modern variant which is 6 cores 12 threads for the same price:

While that motherboard is compatible I'm unsure as to its quality, as such I'd hang fire and see if someone with better knowledge on the chipset can recommend the best option.

AMD is an option but their comparable CPU's are quite expensive at the moment, or flat out not in stock at OCUK.

I will keep that in mind, thank you :) slowly building my basket over there. Appreciate for all your tips guys. For now we only really need motherboard then
