Hi all, looking for some hive mind advice for a new build based around a Fractal Design North case (black).

Mostly used for gaming (1440p) with some light office work/streaming mixed in. Already have a 3070 I can use, but looking for everything else with say a £1200 budget - will look at upgrading the gpu next year.

Thanks in advance!

AMD AM5 build - X3D processor, an overkill 670E motherboard, with decent features and great build quality, could drop to a B650E board to save £30-80. Nice air cooler, very quiet but good performance, 32GB of C30 (Hynix IC) RAM to get maximum performance out of the CPU, and very nice SSD equivalent to the likes of the SN850 but for less money. Case as requested, and a Platinum rated 860W PSU that doesn't break the bank.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Storage: Kingston KC3000 2.048 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
Case: Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Fractal Design Ion+ 2 Platinum 860 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Total: ~£1170
