Hi there guys,

been doing my research for the past week or so, and (think) I'm pretty much set on components I'm going to be using. I'm just after any advice and clarification on whether firstly these components will be fine working together, and secondly, whether I'll need to buy any extra stuff e.g cables during assembly before I'll be able to use my pc properly.

Here's a list of the components I've decided on; I'll hyperlink all the names to webpages so you can see what I'm on about :) I'll be using my dads old PC case

CPU - Intel core I3 3220

Motherboard - MSI B75MA P45

Graphics Card - EVGA GTX 650

PSU - Corsair 550W

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8Gb(2x4Gb) DDR3 1600MHz

HDD - Seagate 3Tb HDD
SSD - Sandisk 64Gb (for OS)

OS - Windows 7 OEM

Drives - 1x BluRay/DVD/Cd drive, 1x DVD drive, both connected by SATA

Extra Stuff -
Wireless adapter for home Wi-Fi - TP Link WN822N
92mm Case Fan

2 SATA Cables
A 3.5-2.5 SSD holder
A set of screws to screw Mobo to case(no screws from case as dads old pc)
A miniHDMI --> HDMI converter

Thanks very much for all advice :)

so many things wrong here

1. competitor links are banned, your linking to computer parts on Amazon
2. Most links are broken
3. This is projects section for people who have a project, if you want spec checks then go to general hardware
4. 3tb storage? really is that needed? id get a 500gb drive and put the spare money toward a decent gpu
5. motherboards come with sata cables
6. 92mm case fans are almost useless.
7. would you really use blu ray? if you will then why not get just the blu ray player instead of bluray and a dvd drive?

i agree, i think hes new to the forum :S

I re read my post above and it seems like im coming across as arrogant but projects isnt the place for what you want.

if you go to general hardware and post up what you want to do with your computer, i.e gaming, video editing etc and a budget then you will get a much more capable system
