I am about to order a gaming build today.

The parts I have chosen are:

NZXT H440 Black/Red Case
I7 4790K Processor
MSI Gaming 7 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866 2x8GB
EVGA 750W G2 PSU
MSI GTX 980 Graphics
Corsair H105 Cooler
Windows 8.1
Samsung Pro 850 256GB SSD
WD Black 2TB HDD
Dell Ultrasharp U2715H Monitor
Corsair K40 Keyboard
Corsair M45 Mouse

Any opinions on this build?

Looks nice mate.
Couple of questions though, how come you have chosen the dell ultraharp?
For an extra £150 you could get a rog swift which has quite a bit of hype on here!
Also for one monitor, correct me if i am wrong people but a galax 970 would potentially be just as viable of an option and for quite a bit of less money which you could use to upgrade monitor the rog swift.

Why is there two sets of ram and two sets of graphics cards? :P

Im a big fan of IPS displays and good colours... Im not sure if i'd use those extra frames, not a big FPS gamer...

So why are you spending £2K on a "gaming" PC if you are not a big gamer?

Sorry i was being my sarcastic self. How come there is two different GPU;s in the basket?

There isn't. the basket app finally decided to play ball before you quoted .

I see, my bad :)

i would agree that if you are not a massive gamer, then a £2k build is a waste. With the price of components today, you can get a damn good pc for £500-700 less

Good question... I am looking for something to be slightly future proof, don't want to have to upgrade any components in the next 3 years ish...

It doesn't necassarily have to be a gaming PC but if Im spending money on some decent components the option would be there to play a game if I felt like... :)

I personally would get a 970, put the cash you saved away for 3 months, then get a second one and sli it when the price drops

No Micky :) seen a lot of people recommending that bundle on here!
But it wasn't going to fit with the red theme and the H440

Mind you... who cares about colour right lol

some people will only buy matching coloured components. I personally couldn't care less what it looks like, i don't build it for looks really :)
