Building a new machine so me and my gf can play together - She's taking my old PC obviously. - Still a beast tho.

Anyway, with £600 minus monitor/speakers I should hope for Top of the line performance. So i'm thinking:

What do you think? - I'm keeping it XP for now, will buy another couple of gigs of ram later and vista. I have coolers already to clock the 6600 with.

I also went for the cheaper mobo, i already have this board and i found it great.

How will this compare to my old:
8800gts 512
e6550 @ 2.7ghz
2gb

What does everyone think? Any amendments?

Cheers!

Dan

Looks fine,
Grab something from e8xxx series instead of quad if you want it for gaming,
not sure about this ram, i've got geil black dragon and it's best memory i've ever had so you can consider taking it. Got the same mobo as you and its fine so i guess its ok too.
And I would get thermaltake toughpower or corsair PSU. I'll grab spinpoint over seagat as well.

You can consider taking some good case if you want to OC it and put some good cooling there.
