Been so long since I last came on the forum I forgot my username / e-mail and password of my previous account haha!
I am looking too upgrade / build a whole new system which was bought specifically has an upgrade back in day to play Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
I have a fairly flexible budget of £700+, but I was looking to recycle has much of my current system has possible (listed below), but I fear the only thing I will be able to recycle is my fairly sexy case, some fans, hard drive for extra generic storage and maybe my power supply, but doubtful about the powersupply.
The games I am looking to play in the near future would be Battlefield 4 and Elder Scrolls Online, so will probably keep updating the system specifications closer to either games release date to help with price changes keeping things low.
I am not really a fanboy of any specific type or brand, just want something to run my games / programs with fast load up times, sweet graphics with high FPS.
Also looking for a new mouse / keyboard / monitor that is 24 inches or bigger, these can be listed separately has they have their own budget.
Cheers in advance for replies guys, please feel free to add anything else which you might think be beneficial to my build regardless if it takes budget OTT.

Definitely keen on getting the following parts:

1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £173.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £112.99
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £40.00
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic £79.99 or Samsung 250GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic £139.99

I am however not so certain on the choice of graphics card and cooler for my processor. I did have my eye on the Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler but still trying to ascertain how well it will fit into my Antec 300 case and Google isn't much help.
I will keep the list up-to-date, but both games I want to play (BF4 and TESO) are in closed beta / late alpha with no set requirements even released I am in no rush to make a purchase. The only thing I shall be keeping an eye on is the Samsung cashback offer which ends on May 28th, but even then I'll probably buy it before the offer ends. Hopefully I might catch some good deals and price drops between now and then.

General rule of thumb is that if the case has a 120mm rear fan then 160mm tall is the limit for the heatsink. Of course some cases break the rule especially if they have sound proofing installed.

YOUR BASKET

1 x Thermalright Macho 120 CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £29.99
Total : £737.94 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Mobo isn't for Xfire or SLi but is still a great mobo for the price. £15 cashback on the large SSD. The Macho heatsink is 150mm tall so should fit no problem. Some forum members are complaining about the MSI 7950s reliability so maybe it might be best to avoid it and go with the GB Windforce which has a superior cooler which in turn should help overclocking.
