This is for a mate but I might be enticed to buy a new one too.

He have the screen and all peripherals and software. Just need to case with everything inside. I'm a bit out of the hardware game so not too sure what's new or what's hot.

But the 7870 I suggested is an "XT" version which is actually a slowed down 7950 core (look at the number of stream processors compared to other 7870 available)
