Hello folks,

My first time posting on here so be kind! aha. I'm looking to build my first computer with quite a big budget around £4000 which will include all preipherals that I'm needing/wanting including 3 monitors although I'm siding with getting one big monitor like the 29' asus monitor? But unsure as to whether it would be better just getting a 3 monitor setup, due to lack of desk space the biggest monitors I can fit are 22 inch.

So these are the parts for my build for the computer.

Case: BitFenix Shinobi XL Full Tower Gaming Windowed Case - Black £129.95
Graphics Cards 1&2: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 ACX Superclock 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (03G-P4-2784-KR) £549.95
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper 5 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £353.99
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Quad Channel Memory Kit (CMY32GX3M4A1866C9) £275.99
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor OEM £249.95
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNova G2 1300W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply (120-G2-1300-XR) £169.99
Main Drive: Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £149.99
Storage Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 4TB 5900RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM £143.99
Program Hard drive (Games/Programs etc) Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD2002FAEX) HDD £128.99
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H110 280mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060014-WW) £94.99
Extra Case Fans x5: BitFenix Spectre PRO 120mm Fan Green LED - Black £59.95
Thermal Compound: IC Diamond 7-Carat Thermal Compound (1.5g) £6.98
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-04649) £113.99
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £20.99

And these are the other bits and bobs including the keyboard/monitors etc.

Monitors: Asus VE228HR 22" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black £419.97
Keyboard: Ducky DK-9008 Shine III Mechanical Keyboard Black Cherry MX Switch - Green LED BackLight £139.99
Mouse: Razer Naga 2014 Expert MMO Gaming Mouse £69.95
Headphones: SteelSeries Siberia v2 USB Virtual Surround 7.1 Gaming Headset - White (51102) £82.99
Game Controllers: Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel - PC (PZ55) £64.99
Mouse Mat: Razer Goliathus Alpha Fragged Control Gaming - Control £23.99
Case Upgrades: BitFenix Mesh Stripes for Shinobi XL Tower Case - Green £8.99

As you can see there is a pattern with the black and green which is something as what I'm trying to stick too at the moment. And which I think of this spec I think is good enough for everything that I'll be throwing at it. Just wanting to get peoples opinions and as to anything they would personally change whether it be a different SSD or even if it's a different choice of case etc!

Just wanting to make sure I get the most for my money as well as having one sweet rig. :) All constructive comments welcome.

Cheers

Jonny :)

Thank you :)

What would you change personally on it?

The monitors as well is true I could go that route, and add as time goes on getting a stand for the monitors as I think you can get stands for monitors over 24' although there aren't many!

Watercooling, I'm not sure I'm 100% confident I'd get it done successfully aha and with it being my first build I want to keep it as 'simple' as possible for the time being although in the future I reckon I will. :)

Cheers

Jonny :)

Cheers for that Doomed, I'll read it around 6 in the morning after work aha, and as for the watercooling I think once the computer has been built and I feel confident enough to put one in then I reckon it will be done but for the time being the H110 is my best bet

Also the widescreen monitor I think we're talking about the same sort lol,

And swiftmetal, my computer will be for pretty much everything gaming, photo and video wise. As i'll be running photoshop, livestreaming gaming content and video editing ofcourse. I understand even for all that it's pretty much overkill but if you can why not? Lol :)

Cheers

Jonny :)

That's what I was thinking of first hand, but would they benefit from having 2 gpus? Although I suppose it would smash anything you put it's way :).

And cooling wise besides watercooling what way would you go? As ofcourse the more quiet it is the better :) lol.

Cheers

Jonny :)

Hi folks,

Sorry for the late reply, as I work nights you can hazard a guess I was a little tired when I came home last night! Aha :) I did have a read through before hand though so thank you for the posts so far guys.

As for the parts, I picked the high powered PSU as I wanted to make sure I've enough power to ensure it will be powered without any struggles.

Plus with EVGA their power supplies are built to last :)

So far this is what I've got with a few alterations thanks to you guys and has somewhat saved me around £250 so far lol. :)

Well as advised to change a few things, I've included the liquid cooler as I was a little worried as I didn't want to fill the thing myself but a bit of reading shows it's prefilled so not bad :P

I've changed the case to the nzxt 810 switch as this was the case I originally had my eye on but was unsure as to how good it was. But have read good reviews. I'll probably get some white led strips to 'light' the insides of the case to show off the green etc. :)

Until then though I reckon this will be the final build.

Cheers

Jonny :)
