This is gonna be part of a hackintosh build, hence the Gigabyte board. I've got a keyboard, mouse, monitor and old case. Also have an old Enermax Noisetaker 600w, will that be alright for a PSU until I get something modular?

The processor I'm happy with. The board I'm kinda sure about, although I'm not sure if the 12-phase VRM is worth the extra 30% premium over the 7-phase VRM on the UD3. Will it have a massive effect on overclocks? For the RAM, I don't really like the big silly heatspreaders and would prefer the XMS3, but am a bit apprehensive about the 1.65v vdimm. I've read that they can run at 1.5v, but is it a gamble? For the hard disk, I wanted a big drive with good performance. Obviously you pay a fair premium for the Caviar Blacks - are they worth it, or is there another cheaper drive that is comparable? I plan on adding 3rd party cooling, a decent GFX card and SSD at a later date.

Any comments would be welcomed!

the WD Blacks arent worth it, go for either the Samsung F3 or Seagate 7200.12.

use the saved money to get a Gen3 board, the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 is a popular choice.

Yeah I think the WD Black drives are expensive for what they are, just get another 7200RPM drive (like an F3 or 7200.12 that were suggested)
