New Build Advice Needed

OK, something amazing happened to me in the last few days. My wifes PC effectively died so she asked if I wanted to buy myself a new one so she could have my old system! Before then I hadn't thought about it, but now I'm faced with either buying myself a new system or getting her a bargain one and missing out on the upgrade.....

My current system was bought a few years back:

Gigabyte MB (can't remember the exact one!)
C2D 6420 2.13 clocked at 3.2
Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB GDDR5
4GB of GeILDDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency Dual Channel (GX22GB6400UDC)
22" Belinea monitor that has max resolution of 1680x1050

Now I've got a budget of about £1k for a new gaming/office rig (won't need keyboard or mouse :) ) as I play games like Dragon Age, Modern Warfare 2 etc and wouldn't mind some better eye candy.

I've been considering getting a rig with an ATI 5870/5850 or 2x5770 in it, but other than that i'm pretty much out of touch with new builds. So far i've put together:

Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) - OEM
Kingston HyperX 6GB (3x2GB) Intel XMP DDR3 12800C9 1600MHz Tri-Channel Kit (KHX12800D3K3/6GX)
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (WD1001FALS)
OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent Power Supply
Coolermaster Elite 330 Midi Tower Case - All Black

I saw the HannsG monitor that looks pretty cheap, but really need some expert input from people who know what components best go together. Anyone with time to help?

The 5000 series cards are quite big (long) so, looking in my own case, the only thing I would worry about is the clearance to the RAM slots. I'm sure it would fit with a squeeze.

I would consider a full size card like the GA-P55-UD3/UD4 just for the extra clearance and better air flow. Remember these cards run hot!

Just a thought

Apart from that ...looks good

As said the above the 5850 and 5870 are very long cards so might be a problem with that case. The rest you chose though is sound.
