New build - Advice needed

I've been looking at components over and over for the last few weeks now lol.

Could someone give this the once over for me - and say if you see anything glaringly obvious I have missed, or could be improved.

My original budget was £1,500 but the more I have looked at it, and how I actually want the build to turn out I've decided to go for components that I actually want & are also visually appealing to me.

I was originally going for the Shinobi XL - but the more I looked at the Phantek the more I liked the idea of hiding the PSU and easier for cable management.

I've heard that there may be some additonal Phanteks being released, with coloured internals with matching LED strips - any news on if and when these would be available at OC - as I might hold out for a coloured internal one ( looks like the white is still pre-order too... )

Things like the GPU - thats definately a reference board isn't it - dont want to order this, start to strip it then find out its not reference ( cant see how you can tell apart from the fan being in the standard reference location ? )

Appreciate your advice guys - thanks.

What's this build for btw?

You don't ideally want quad channel RAM with 1150, 2 x 8GB sticks would be better.
But then if this is just for gaming, then 8GB will be fine.

Mostly gaming, video editing - some graphic work. I do tend to be multitasking with 2 screens on the go - lots of different apps open at once etc.

The only reason I went with 4 dimms was so the board was full to be honest - any major disadvantage running 4 dimms instead of 2 ? I thought that the ram would just still run in dual channel - two dimms per channel ?

Less stress on the memory controller though I guess.

I've changed from 16gb of the Avexir to 8gb of the Corsair Dominator Plat - and saved about £50 - I reckon 8gb will be enough - max I have seen current rig get up to is around 5gb used
