Hello OC forums :p

Here is my first build in 4 years , seem to lost my way after having a laptop .

I will be using p.c for surfing internet , photoshop CS5 & Microsoft Word 2010 . I am not a gamer . . . My is budget £750 , no monitor needed as going to use my Sony 26inch lcd and see how it goes.

Intel® Core™ i7-860 (2.80GHz, 8MB) or Intel® Core™ i7-870 (2.93GHz, 8MB)
English Genuine Windows® 7 Professional (64 BIT)
4096MB (2x2048) 1333MHz DDR3 Single Channel
500GB (2x250GB) 3.5inch Serial ATA Raid 1 (7200RPM) Hard Drive
512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® G310* (DVI, VGA,HDMI)
Wireless : Network Card 1505 PCIe 802.11n

My monitor choice would be

Dell Ultrasharp U2311H 23" Widescreen LCD or 24"

Just no.

either save money with a i5 760 cpu, or spend that little more for a intel socket 1336 i7 setup.

and that graphics card is a low end renamed rubbish.

do you just want a tower unit without monitor/keyboard/mouse and speakers?

If you're a "serious" CS5 user I would up the RAM and also include a dedicated scratch disk for Photoshop/Premier - I use a Samsung F4 320GB (cheap and lightning fast) for that purpose.....makes a big different if you're working with large files.
