Hi Im after a new pc which is only going to be used for surfing the net, downloading, a bit of youtube and also a few apps like itunes/ winrar etc....

Not for gaming as I have decided on an xbox one.

I was looking at spending less than £300 and had a few next day systems in mind.

Hi and welcome.

Can you build a PC yourself?

With that sort of usage it wouldn't be a complicated PC to put together and there are many videos on youtube to help guide you through the process.

I would prefer to build myself :)

Just wanted something that would do what I needed.

I have seen a few a8 and a10 pre-built systems but I didn't like the rubbish cheap Psu and memory they came with...

SSDs are great, add storage later (not much room in that case mind you so maybe an external HDD) if its needed and in the mean time make use of the improved response and speed an SSD provides within windows "now".
