hello guys ive been thinking of buying a new pc. As my current one cant handle games like BFBC2 anymore.

My current setup is:
d2c e6600 2.4Ghz
2GB ocz ram
chieftek 650 W power supply
8800 GTS 640MB
+ the mobo etc etc (wich i forgot the names of)

Now i would like to know if this build would be any good.
And if possible if it could be any cheaper cuz its around 100€ i guess thats about 60 pound to high for me. I would like to overclock my proccesor (just never done it before) so if u got any advice or something i should not buy or maybe change for something else i would love to hear your oppinion (as u all can see im not from the UK)

Current build im thinking of:

Abit of a confusing post. You want a nice card for overclocking or board for the i5 @ 4GHz?

Either way, the P7P55D-LE is a great board for i5 overclocking and the HIS 5850 you have chosen is a good clocker espcially with the icooler on it.

I have i5 and p7p55d - le with an ati 5850, i can max out bf2 with 4xaa and 4xaf at 1920x1080

its a good bit of kit. this is at 2.8ghz as well, need to buy a h50 to cool it though as it will hit 80c in prime with stock cooler.

I want to overclock the i5 to 4ghz... and i want a mobo that makes this possible.

About the gfx card.. ye that is probally a good one i've read all the revieuws about it.

are you talking about BF Badcompany 2 or BF2 ... since i can max out bf2 on highest details with my current setup :P .

bad company 2 ;)

If im not mistake asus comes with some overclocking software too, im not familiar with overclocking but i advise you to buy a seperate cooler as the stock one is pants.

Why the bump? Your questions have been answered?

NathWraith has already suggested the P7P55D-LE although this might be out of your budget range.

You could take a look at GA-P55-UD5 which is on offer this week or the GA-P55-US3L decent board good overclocking options at a fair price. Will clock that 750 to 4GHz no worries.

I think you'll find it hard to trim £100 off the price you quoted unless you are willing to make a few sacrifices. Performance comes at a price I'm afraid.

The cheapest mobo that can overclock i5 750 to 4.0GHz (that's in stock right now) is the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2.

It's however a Micro ATX, so it will have fewer PCI slots etc. But that don't matter to you, it would be a perfectly fine choice.

Also, for the ram go for the OCZ Gold 1600MHz C8 instead:

and invest the money you save on ram on a decent CPU cooler instead...cause it ain't gonna be pretty if you try to overclock to 4.0GHz on a stock cooler...
