This is my first build since 2006... been saving the moola has I didnt have enough money being a poor student and all, and on top of that my old pc pretty much died the other day haha... I already have a brand new Samsung 22" Syncmaster seeing has my 17" sony TFT died 2 months ago also... everything is dying... not cool.
Will be using my old mouse, keyboard, and speakers, will also purchase 4x Akasa Amber Ultra Quiet 120mm Fans when I have the money, but for now its all about the PC, any advice of swaps I should make are welcome, the only thing I am not sure about is the graphics card and I threw a 4870 Powercolor in to make up the price of what I want to spend, it may look hefty but remember its from the ground up OS, CD Driver and all - Peter :)

Looks good. I would change the motherboard to a P5Q Pro, and save cash on the memory (the GeIL Black Dragon kit is £30 less). Forget the "guaranteed" processors, and go for the standard models. They will all run at way past 3GHz, and there isn't a way to tell how fast a processor is going to run without testing it. Apart from that, it looks great.

Cheers shaffaaf you just saved me around £30 - £40 quid, the only thing I have changed from your line up pretty much is the fans, not a fan of yate loon stuff because it failed on me in the past.

Thanks a lot :)
