Hi,

Perhaps someone could help me. I am doing a new build for the first time and was hoping for some advice..

OCZ StealthXTreme 600W
Coolermaster CM 690-II Case
500GB Hard drive
60GB SSD Hard Drive (For windows and games)
Intel i5 760 2.8 ghz
Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 mobo
4gb OCZ 1333mhz RAM
ATI Radeon 6850
22" Ilyama Monitor

Also, will i be able to OC this slightly as part of the reason for getting an i5 is i heard they were very easy to OC. Will i have to change my cooling?

As beasty suggested this is a quiet option I currently use the H50-1.

However there are other options out there such as a Gelid Tranquilo,

or a Titan Fenrir Evo.

The h50-1 is a self contained water unit. But the other two are very good air options.

EDIT: Now with links ;) Man I'm bored and in need of a project.

there all sorts of coolers to look at but it all depends on how much you want to push the cpu

me personally the h50 as it gives you more room, looks tidier, and is quite

have you already bought it?
If not get a 500 gb Samsung F3 hardrive
If that is OCZ gold ram I would swap it out for Corsair XMS3
You could also look at the Antec Trupower 650 psu.

But that is just my preference in the respective parts based on experience and other general reviews by other members.

get the OCUK version unless you want AVP game basically same otherwise.

GOOD SPOT BEASTY!

Yep he's right about it being faster. But the 68** series is out. But I'd have 5870 any day.

Overclocking is very easy on the i5-760 and if you were to go that route then there are numerous OC threads on the cooling area of the forum.

well the newer gpu that you are looking at the 6850 are the newer cards and are slightly slower but overclocking the gpu will void warranty and will produce more heat

personally i would go 5870 as there a faster card out the box and are at a really good price at the minute

Ah, in that case I would suggest perhaps dropping the CPU down to this, the mobo down to this and investing more in a graphics card.

New cards some out on Wednesday from AMD - so I would wait until then before buying.

I would also suggest dropping the SSD and instead go for a 24in monitor.
