New Build Advice

Hi Guys.

Just putting together a new build and just wanted to run it past people to see if they had any advice to give me on components.

Ive decided to go down the overclocked I5 route and upgrade to an SSD.

To go with this I already have the following

Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-E Sound Card
Samsung SpinPoint F4 EcoGreen 2TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD204UI)

I'm going to be overclocking the CPU to about 4.4 - 4.5 with the closed loop water cooler but my only concern would be the GFX Card.. is a GTX 570 going to be limited by this set-up?

Would it be better to cash in the 570 and move to a 580 or possibly SLI with another 570?

Also would my current Corsair HX 650W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply be ok for this system or should i Upgrade that as well?

SLI GTX570's need a 750w+ psu ideally, and GTX580's in SLI need a good 850W PSU, so stick with a single card, the GTX570 is very quick.

What resolution is your display is the important bit?

And the retail CPU is a bit more and has 3years warranty and a proper box and a heatsink to just keep.
 
Should be fine for 1680x1020. Would be okayish for 1920x1080 too. The PSU will be fine for the current system but if you decide to go SLI you'll need to upgrade that further down.

Seems like a pretty good build tbh. Very similar to what I'll be doing soon I think :) except I'll be going for dominators, a TJ07 and a custom watercooled loop.

I'm running at 24" monitor and game at 1920 x 1080.

I currently have a Quad core and this graphics and it performs well enough.

And stulid I have changed the CPU to retail as I see its only 5 or so pounds difference for 3 year warranty... sounds like a good deal to me.
