Hi

I already have: Corsair CX-430W PSU, 1gb GTX 460, 1TB Samsung HDD.

I'm looking for a processor, motherboard, RAM and case with a budget of £300ish to play games like BF3.

Currently I'm torn between an i5-2400/H61 or i5-2500k/P67/Z68, my budget may stretch if the performance is significant. I'm hoping the PC will last for 4-5 years so I don't know if overclocking would be applicable either.

Thanks

Getting a "K" CPU and Z68/P67 chipset is worth every penny as you can then overclock the CPU.

Is your HDD and optical drive SATA ?

Thanks! HDD is SATA II and optical drive is SATA. Will the power supply be sufficient for this build? And to overclock, is it necessary to use an aftermarket cooler or will should the intel one suffice to say 4ghz?

Power supply is fine, you will need to use a molex to pci-e adapter as the card needs two 6pin power connections.

The stock cooler will indeed do 4ghz, more if you get a aftermarket one.

There's a coolermaster 120MM fan for like £1.50 on offer, add one to the front of the case.

The Gelid tranquillo is a good CPU cooler at £24
