ok as you know by my other post i have a ASUS M5A99X MOBO and also a ZALMAN CNPS 9900 MAX cooler

anyway the zalman cooler has a "fan RPM reducing resistance" for quiet mode (its a 4 wire conector that goes between the fan wire and the mobo with a resistor or something like that on it)

and the motherboard has i think cool and quiet and some other thing that reduces the fan speed when not under load

anyway as i need it to be as silent as possible i will enable all this
but do you think the mobo one will conflict in some way with the cooler one

in other words you can reduce load on the fan through the mobo and the cooler is it safe to do both at the same time

i have that cooler and an asus mobo (not the same mobo, but the same software), and am currently running it with the resistor wire plugged in and the cool and quiet thing active without any problems

Thanks beejjacobs and Reaper 392 for the replys

@ Reaper 392 did you find the cooler easy to fit as i had the
Zalman CNPS9700-LED Super Aero Flower Cooler before it and sailed through the fitting but i found this one (ZALMAN CNPS 9900 MAX cooler) awkward to say the least

Before anyone asks why i changed was because i sold the last one along with the mobo and cpu as a bundle (and i lost the original mobo clip)
