my step grandson has asked me to build him a super fast gaming rig, speed and performance are more important than cost. I will need everything except the monitor which i will supply Dell U2711. thanks in advance.

Well if cost is no factor you could get a dual cpu, quad Sli watercooled build, would probably set you back around £4000 minimum...

However, something slightly lower but still incredibly powerful would be:

Sli 670's for awesome graphics and framerates
Quite possibly the best air cooled case out there
Very fast (best for gaming) CPU
256gb SSD (Samsung 830 aka very good)
Gigabyte UD-5H Exceptional for overclocking, UK RMA centre, generally great mobo
Corsair make some of the best PSU's out there, 850w to cover Sli and more to spare
One of the best gaming keyboards there is
2tb HDD for a massive pr0n collection :D
Windows 7... can't say much
Blu-ray reader
Very good mouse (this is a personal choice)
Perhaps the best air cpu cooler there is
Some of the best RAM there is, awesome for overclocking)

All in all, an amazingly powerful build. Tbh, if cost is no object I would go watercooled if you've got the experience, and if you've got money to burn go for a quad Sli SR-2 build...

Thank you so much i will put forward your suggestions but, just a personal thought i do love asus mobos, this is just my very personal opinion, thanks again
