Hi everyone.

Firstly I have also posted this in the watercooling section for the w/c part of the build but I would also like to post this here to get a better idea of the rest of the components. I hope this is allowed/acceptable.

Hi guys, new here!

I have been out of gaming for some time now but starting to get back into it but need a new rig as I only have a laptop at the minute! I want a w/c loop but I haven't done this before so any advice would be recommended.

Here is the (would be) full build, let me know if I am missing anything or have chosen badly.

A couple of things to note:

I am aiming for Approx 1600 budget.
Ram and HDDs would be possible upgrades. 8gb ram would be enough to start me off and my normal HDD setup is RAID 10.
I am aware that the GPU full cover block won't fit that graphics card - I could not find the one I would get on the ocuk site so I put that one in as a place holder/rough cost. I would get a reference card.
I know I will likely need some angled fittings, I am undecided on which to go for yet.

W/c loop in the 650D would probably go like this. Res>Pump>280rad>cpu>gpu>res
This leaves me with the option in the future (or would you all say it is necessary now) to put a 120mm rad in the back and go either:
Res>Pump>280rad>120rad>cpu>gpu>res
or
Res>Pump>280rad>cpu>120rad>gpu>res

Any help and advice is much appreciated!

I know it's very vain of me but the colours look a bit off.

The motherboard has Red accents, the RAM has Silver Accents, the Coolant is Green and the lights are UV (why not white?)

And 4 x 500GB HDD's? What are they for?

I'd personally go for a colour scheme.. Maybe red to match the motherboard.

Doomedspeed thank you and you are right, not much thought was given to it.

Red mobo is there, Can change to red RAM easy enough.

I've always liked how UV fluid in clear tubes looks in my head. I might change that and go for a clear/pure fluid and UV red tubes for the UV cathode.

The HDDs are for a RAID 10 set up. Very few people agree with that choice and I may well change it at some point, but I have had a couple of HDD failures in RAID 0 years ago, and I've only heard bad things about the RAID 1 performance. One idea at the minute would be to load OS and Apps onto a small SSD and run that alongside the RAID 10.
