Good afternoon all,

I hope your all well,

I am looking to build a PC for my children, it will be for both gaming and school works purpose etc. the games they play are all the modern type such as fortnite and call of duty etc.

Could i have a list of the best components for my budget please?, my budget would be around £800.00 and ideally if these could be sourced from a website that offers Klarna or similar that would be great. I would consider a pre made PC however i have been told by others i'm not really getting what i'm paying for.

I would appreciate any advice,

thank you all.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£180) - Has a CPU Cooler so you won't need to buy one, unless you think it's too loud, but you won't know until you build it.
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£100)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory (£70)
Storage: Western Digital SN750 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (£65) - Install OS on this drive
Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (£85)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card (£220)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C ATX Mid Tower Case (£70)
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 11 Power supply - 600 Watt (£70)
Operating System (OS): Windows 10 Pro (£40)
Total: £900

Where you can shave off some money:
CPU: 3600 is a bit expensive right now (I think the cheapest you can get it right now is £165), you could downgrade to a 2600 which is (£120).
Storage: I don't how much space you may use so 4TB seemed good, 2TB is around £50
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (You can get a legit key for £40 definitely, an OEM key under £10 can be also found, if you have an old computer which this is replacing then you won't need to buy a key, also if you have a spare Windows 7 key you can use that, and finally if you have anyone in education you may be able to get Windows 10 Education for free)

As for Klarna I don't know, have you tried getting a 0% purchase card (12-18months), that'll make it easier to buy things from here and there, plus you get credit protection on things over £100.

If you trying to get a pre-built then try see if those can match my build for cheaper, but the parts I've listed are of good quality.

Note: I assumed you already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Otherwise, I'll have to redo the build.

Thank you for your time putting together this list, much appreciated.

And yes I have a keyboard, mouse, monitor but no speakers, she uses headphones atm, which I'm happy with .

Would this be good build?, run most modern games so? And also a good foundation to expand on in the future?

Also in your experience, would it be worth waiting till black friday for better savings?

Thanks again

i would go with this build, but on a site that does CPU+motherboard bundle, you can get 3600+Asus B450m tuf Gaming for £240 on the same site you can add 2x8GB 3200MHz ram for £60

that PSU is solid.
