I'm looking at building a new system shortly as my 6 year old system is showing its age. I want to go from 1440p to 4k as for the cpu I'm waiting for the new x3D Amd CPUs to come out I also need atleast 3TB storage. Would prefer AIO cooling and a good airflow case.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

My current system is an 8700K, asus maximus 9 hero, 32GB corsair dominator, Gigabye auros 1080Ti, 250GB NVME, 1TB corsair SSD and a 2TB seagate platter drive housed in a fractal R6 with the fractal s36 cooler and powered by a seasonic 650w PSU monitor is an acer predator 27" 1440p

I don't know what 4090 would be best, but the SUPRIM is one of the more expensive ones, so you can take your pick within budget.

I just guessed the price of an X3D, I'm really not sure.

That looks really good. Is a 4090 neccesary for decent 4K fps?

No, I mean... RX 6800 xt or 3080 used to be considered decent 4K cards, but the 4090 is a big generational leap and you'll be able to max out the settings in games that other cards can't, so if you have a big budget, there's really nothing better to dump it on.
