Hi
This will be my third build, although in between I lose track of all the changes so have to learn all over again!.
My current system is ...
Athlon 7750 dual core 2.7ghz
Mb gigabyte m720-us3
2g ddr2 (I think)
Gfx Sapphire radeon hd 5450
780w Go power extreme power supply.
vista

I mainly use it for office stuff, media server and my daughter plays sims 4.
I think maybe reuse the gfx card and power supply? Also want a new monitor and windows 10.
I also have a couple of 1 tb hard drives for storage which I will reuse

After looking at other suggestions came up with this

Asus H81M-K Intel Core i5 DIY Micro ATX Motherboard, CPU & RAM Bundle£221.93

AOC E2470SWHE 23.6" Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor - Black£109.99

(£91.66)Microsoft Windows 10 64-Bit DVD - OEM (MS-KW9-00139)£79.99

(£66.66)Crucial BX100 250GB SSD SATA 6Gbps 7mm Solid State Drive (CT250BX100SSD1)£79.99

(£66.66)Zalman T1 Plus Mini-Tower USB 3.0 - Black£19.99

(£16.66)Samsung SH-224FB/BEBE 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM M disc compatible£14.99

*Total :£526.88

any better suggestions? Don't really want to spend more if unnecessary.
Many thanks
Ashley

Ok, could you recommend a suitable psu? also how much would I need to spend to get another gfx card so I could keep the old pc running as a spare. Any suggestion.
Thanks

You can use the onboard graphics on the new build for now and use the 5450 in your old pc. As for a new psu would you be puting in a better gpu in the future ?

I've not got round to ordering this yet due to being too busy but I've a couple of questions.
The version of windows is 64 bit, what decides whether it's 64 or 32 bit? I thought it was the Mb but can't see it in the description.
Also is it better to get it on usb or disk?
thanks
Also...
When I built my last pc I had to create some boot disks on floppy disks to allow the installation of windows on a blank hard drive.
Is it easier now?

It will be the 64bit version, which is determined by the processor as far as I'm aware.
You'll be able to install windows, booting straight from the disc. You just need to make sure the bios settings are correct for the boot order - i.e. optical drive then HDD.

Just another thought about this, the pc is going to be in my living room so being quiet would be nice, is there any parts of this spec I should change for a quieter option? Preferably without spending a fortune.
Thanks
